Job Summary
Ella Tech is seeking a motivated and skilled Backend Software Engineer to join our engineering team. You will design, build, and maintain scalable backend systems and APIs using TypeScript, PostgreSQL, and MongoDB. The ideal candidate writes clean, secure, and efficient code, enjoys solving problems, and thrives in a collaborative environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain backend services and APIs.
- Work with relational and NoSQL databases (PostgreSQL, MongoDB).
- Optimize application performance, scalability, and security.
- Collaborate with frontend engineers, designers, and product managers.
- Write clean, maintainable, and well-documented code.
- Participate in code reviews, testing, and debugging.
- Support integration and deployment processes (CI/CD).
Requirements
- 2+ years of hands-on backend development experience.
- Strong proficiency in TypeScript and Node.js frameworks.
- Experience with PostgreSQL, MongoDB, and ORMs (e.g., Prisma, Sequelize, TypeORM).
- Solid understanding of API design and RESTful architecture.
- Familiarity with Git workflows and version control.
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
Nice to Have
- Experience with Go (Golang) development.
- Familiarity with AWS or other cloud deployment environments.
- Knowledge of microservices architecture.
- Exposure to GraphQL, Docker, or containerized systems.
