Job description

We are seeking a highly experienced and passionate Bakery & Pastry Instructor to join our culinary education team. The ideal candidate will have 15+ years of hands-on experience in bakery and pastry arts, with a strong background in teaching, mentoring, and curriculum development. This role involves delivering high-quality instruction, inspiring students, and maintaining industry standards in both traditional and modern baking techniques.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver engaging and practical instruction in bakery and pastry arts to students of varying skill levels.
  • Develop and update curriculum, lesson plans, and training materials in line with industry trends.
  • Demonstrate advanced techniques in bread making , cakes, pastries, and desserts.
  • Supervise and mentor students during practical sessions and assessments.
  • Ensure a safe, clean, and organized learning environment in the kitchen.
  • Evaluate student performance and provide constructive feedback.
  • Collaborate with other instructors and staff to enhance the overall learning experience.
  • Stay current with industry trends, tools, and techniques.
  • Participate in school events, workshops, and community outreach programs.

Qualifications:

  • Diploma or Degree in Culinary Arts, Pastry & Bakery, or related field.
  • Minimum of 15 years of professional experience in bakery and pastry.
  • Proven experience in teaching, training, or mentoring in a culinary or academic setting.
  • Expertise in artisan bread, classic and modern pastries, cake decoration, and chocolate work.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Passion for teaching and mentoring aspiring bakers and pastry chefs.
  • Certification in food safety and hygiene is a plus.

Preferred Attributes:

  • Experience working in international kitchens or culinary schools.
  • Ability to integrate local and global baking trends into the curriculum.
  • Creative, patient, and enthusiastic about sharing knowledge.
