TotalEnergies Marketing Ethiopia S.C. is the local affiliate, established in 1950. It markets fuels, lubricants, and specialty products through a network of over 120 service stations across Ethiopia, serving both retail and direct customers.

Job Summary

The Card Back Office Supervisor role plays a critical part in ensuring:

  • Service quality
  • Operational efficiency
  • Customer satisfaction

This role directly contributes to the growth of the TotalEnergies Card business.

Key Activities

Manage and lead the card back office and front office team by:

  • Managing, administering, supervising, coaching, and training employees
  • Ensuring optimal use of operational systems

Managing card requests, creation of new clients & customization by:

  • Ensuring accurate and customized setup of new clients and cards based on approved specifications
  • Overseeing inventory levels of blank cards, tags, and related materials

After sales service includes:

  • Timely processing of card top-up requests in line with defined KPIs
  • Managing daily reconciliation of the designated cash account
  • Handling customer complaints and enhancing service delivery
  • Monitoring remote card loading at stations
  • Supporting the implementation of mobile money solutions

Prompt response to customer inquiries and continuous improvement of service efficiency are key aspects of this role.

Control & Compliance

Ensures that all card-related control procedures are executed in line with established KPIs by:

  • Monitoring daily and weekly reports to identify and support stations with operational issues
  • Analyzing card errors
  • Reporting card balances to the finance department

Ensures proper disposal of used cards in accordance with company procedures, maintaining compliance and operational integrity.

Qualification:

  • Educational Background: BSc/BA degree from a recognized university in Engineering, Business, Marketing, Accounting, or similar fields.
  • Experience: Minimum of 4 years in marketing-related activities. Training in Sales/Marketing is advantageous.
  • Skills: Good reporting/organization, presentation, analytical skills, high integrity, and honesty in performance of duties.
  • Language: Excellent written and spoken English.
