Job Summary
Mother and Child Rehabilitation Center/MCRC is seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Senior Counselor to join our team. We are dedicated to providing holistic psycho social support for survivors of GBV, and vulnerable women and children. This role is ideal for an experienced Counselor who is passionate about supporting diverse populations through various stages of life and psychological challenges.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop culturally appropriate counseling tools, conduct needs assessments (rapport development) and maintain confidential case records;
- Provide individual, group and family counseling using culturally appropriate and trauma-informed approaches.
- Conduct counseling sessions for survivors of GBV, and vulnerable women and children.
- Deliver career counseling as needed.
- Conduct clinical mental health assessments and treatment planning.
- Refer cases to specialized services (medical, legal, protection) when necessary
- Collaborate with team members to provide integrated care.
- Maintain accurate and confidential documentation in accordance with ethical and legal standards.
Qualification
- Bachelor’s Degree (BA) in Psychology or a related field
- Minimum of 4 years of relevant experience as a counselor, preferably in NGO settings
- Passionate about working with and support survivors of GBV and vulnerable women and children.
- Excellent in English communication skills (both written and spoken)
