Job Summary
Migbare Kibur Trading PLC, the parent company of Kibur College, is a forward-looking organization with a strong focus on education and operations across multiple sectors.
We are preparing to host a major international event and are seeking an experienced and dynamic Event & Conference Manager to lead the planning and ensure its successful execution.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee end-to-end planning and execution of an event.
- Develop and manage project plans, timelines, and budgets.
- Coordinate with stakeholders, government offices, sponsors, and service providers.
- Supervise logistics including venue setup, transport, accommodation, catering, and technology.
- Manage delegate registration systems and ensure a smooth participant experience.
- Lead and coordinate sub-committees (Logistics, Finance, Program, Marketing, Protocol, etc.).
- Negotiate and manage contracts with vendors and providers.
- Prepare regular progress reports and ensure milestones are met.
Qualifications & Experience
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in business, Event Management, Hospitality, Business Administration, or any related field.
- Minimum 5 years’ proven experience managing events or international conferences.
- Strong leadership, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication in English (other languages an advantage).
- Familiarity with Ethiopian government protocols, permits, and visa arrangements is a plus.
- Ability to work under pressure, meet deadlines, and manage multiple stakeholders.
