East Africa Bottling S.C., a subsidiary of Coca-Cola Beverages Africa and the exclusive bottler of Coca-Cola products in Ethiopia, is pleased to invite passionate and qualified candidates to apply for the position of Fixed Asset Financial Accountant which is based in Addis Ababa Plant.
Key purppose Statement
To ensure accurate accounting, recording, and reporting of the organization’s fixed assets in compliance with financial policies, accounting standards, and regulatory requirements. The role is responsible for maintaining the fixed asset register, overseeing capitalization and depreciation processes, supporting audits, and providing insights that enhance asset management efficiency and financial decision-making.
Key Duties & Responsibilities
1. Fixed Asset Management
- Maintain an accurate, up-to-date asset register.
- Record acquisitions, disposals, and transfers promptly.
- Tag and physically verify all assets.
- Conduct periodic asset audits.
2. Compliance & Policy Adherence
- Ensure full compliance with financial policies and regulations.
- Support internal and external audits.
3. Financial Reporting & Reconciliation
- Prepare reconciliations and depreciation schedules.
- Report asset movements, balances, and variances timely.
- Assist in month-end and year-end close activities.
4. Asset Planning & Control
- Support budgeting and forecasting for asset management.
- Monitor capitalization thresholds and asset lifecycles.
- Coordinate with procurement and operations teams.
5. Systems & Records Management
- Maintain accurate records in accounting systems (e.g., SAP).
- Ensure proper documentation and real-time accessibility.
6. Support & Coordination
- Liaise with finance teams, departments, and auditors.
- Guide fixed asset clerks or support staff as needed.
Skills, Experience & Education
- Minimum of 5 years experience in Financial Accounting/ General Accounts in manufacturing environment or Fast Moving Consumer Goods.
- ERP System Experience is advantageous
