Job Summary:

The Freight Transport Operations Supervisor is responsible for planning, coordinating, and supervising daily transport activities to ensure efficient, safe, and cost-effective movement of goods. The role involves overseeing drivers, monitoring fleet performance, managing schedules, and ensuring compliance with company policies and transport regulations.

Key Duties:

• Supervise and coordinate all daily freight transport operations.
• Plan and schedule routes, dispatch trucks, and monitor shipment progress.
• Ensure timely loading and unloading of goods at origins and destinations.
• Maintain communication with drivers and clients to ensure smooth delivery operations.
• Ensure compliance with safety standards, transport regulations, and company policies.
• Manage documentation, including delivery notes, waybills, and trip reports.
• Handle any incidents, delays, or breakdowns promptly and effectively.
• Analyze operational data and prepare periodic performance and cost reports.
• Coordinate with other departments for seamless operations.

Reports To: Operations Manager / General Manager

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Logistics, Transport Management, Supply Chain, or related field.
• Minimum 3–5 years of experience in freight or transport operations supervision.
• Strong knowledge of freight documentation, routing, and transport regulations.
• Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
• Proficiency in MS Office and fleet management or logistics software.
• Ability to work under pressure and handle multiple priorities.
