Position: Furniture Assembling and Finishing Department Manager
Job Description:
The Furniture Assembly & Finishing Department Manager is responsible for overseeing the end-to-end furniture manufacturing process, from lumber preparation to final finishing and quality inspection. This role ensures smooth operations across multiple sub-units, delivering products that meet Robit Business Group’s high standards for craftsmanship, quality, and efficiency. The position requires a proactive leader who can balance operational supervision, manpower coordination, and technical problem-solving while maintaining continuous improvement in production and cost efficiency.
Key Responsibilities:
- Supervise daily operations across all furniture production units, ensuring timely, on-budget, and high-quality output.
- Monitor production schedules, manage job orders, and troubleshoot issues to minimize downtime.
- Prepare accurate 2D cutting lists from drawings and site measurements, optimizing material use.
- Coordinate closely with design, production, and procurement teams for smooth workflow and timely delivery.
- Lead, coach, and supervise section heads and teams, fostering accountability, safety, and continuous improvement.
- Work with QA to maintain product quality and implement process improvements.
- Oversee modern finishing techniques and monitor KPIs for quality, efficiency, and delivery performance.

Qualifications and Requirements:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Industrial/Electrical/Mechanical Engineering, Wood Technology, or related fields.
- Minimum 5 years of supervisory or managerial experience in furniture production or finishing.
- Strong understanding of furniture assembly, finishing processes, and production flow.
- Proficiency in cutting optimization software and reading technical drawings.
- Knowledge of modern materials, tools, and equipment used in furniture manufacturing.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving abilities.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
- Proficiency in MS Office applications and familiarity with production management software is an advantage.
