BAN-Development Research Center for Excellence (BAN-DRCE) is a leading research and development consulting firm dedicated to advancing inclusive, sustainable development through data-driven solutions. We have openings for motivated intern consultants to join our ever-growing collaborative team and contribute to meaningful projects.
Experience Required:
- 0 Year (we will not review applicants with Experience)
- Duration of Role: 2 months
Duty Station:
- Addis Ababa, with possible travel to project sites when necessary
- Required Number: Three
Key Responsibilities
- Participate in the development of an expression of interest
- Assist and facilitate in organizing workshops, trainings, and meetings
- Participate in the production of PowerPoint, templates, and documents
- Facilitate financial and administrative procedures (including logistic arrangements) for trainings, meetings, and workshops
- Conduct a literature review
- gathering and analyzing information, formulating and testing hypotheses
- assist or coordinate project implementation
- Produce and update the database of projects, field research team and consultants
- gathering and analyzing information, formulating and testing hypotheses, and developing and communicating recommendations
- Produce content for the digital outreach
- participate in different projects, team meetings and document minutes
- liaison with consultants and the client on research undertakings
- Closely follow up on the status of submitted expressions of interest, proposals
- Update the content of the website
- Market research and due diligence
- Participate in the research proposal development
- Produce a bio-summary and CV of consultants
- Participate in project management, survey and field visit
- Follow up with clients to ensure maximum client satisfaction
- Technical assistance to the client and stakeholders as required
- Work with the admin and marketing team
- Undertake other duties as may be assigned by the core team
Required Qualifications and Skills
- Minimum of a bachelor’s degree in economics and business, development studies, or statistics
- Zero years of work experience
- Good Communication and English Writing skills
- Good experience in using visualization software such as Power BI, Canva, PowerPoint, STATA, SPSS and Microsoft Office Tool
- Good interpersonal skills
- Strong analytical, problem-solving and networking skills
- Be a team player and communicator
