Responsibilities
- Assist in daily bookkeeping, voucher preparation, and sorting of financial documents.
- Help maintain accurate records of expenses, accounts receivable, and accounts payable.
- Support the preparation of basic financial statements, including:Expense details, Accounts receivable/payable summaries,Monthly and quarterly basic reports.
- Ensure compliance with Ethiopian tax laws, financial regulations, and the company’s financial procedures.
- Conduct initial checks of daily expense documents based on company policies.
- Assist in reviewing and verifying supporting documents for payments and reimbursements.
- Use Excel, Word, and other office tools to prepare financial data and basic reports.
- Operate accounting software such as Peachtree (if experienced).
- Assist in data entry, filing, and document management for the finance department.
- Work closely with the finance team to complete assigned tasks on time.
- Communicate proactively with other departments when collecting financial information.
- Use English as the main working language; basic Chinese communication is an advantage.
Qualification
- Bachelor’s degree or above in Accounting, Finance, Financial Management, or related fields.
- 1–2 years of financial work experience; priority for candidates with experience in accounting firms or corporate finance departments.
- Understanding of Ethiopian tax laws, basic financial regulations, and accounting processes.
- Proficiency in Excel, Word, and general office software.
- Experience with basic accounting software (e.g., Peachtree) is an added advantage.
- Ability to organize and prepare financial documents accurately.
- Good communication skills and team-oriented attitude.
