Job Summary
The Junior Pharmacist is responsible for dispensing medications accurately, providing guidance to patients on proper drug use, and supporting overall pharmacy operations. The role ensures compliance with regulatory standards while maintaining excellent customer service and contributing to safe and effective healthcare delivery.
Key Responsibilities
- Dispense prescribed medications accurately and efficiently
- Provide clear instructions to patients on dosage, administration, and potential side effects
- Review prescriptions for accuracy, completeness, and potential drug interactions
- Maintain proper storage and handling of pharmaceuticals according to standards
- Ensure compliance with regulatory and safety guidelines
- Monitor stock levels and assist in inventory management
- Prepare and label medications appropriately
- Support procurement and receiving of pharmaceutical supplies
- Maintain proper documentation and patient records
- Provide basic health advice and respond to customer inquiries professionally
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals to ensure optimal patient care
- Ensure cleanliness and organization of the pharmacy workspace
- Participate in continuous professional development and training programs
Qualification Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree in Pharmacy from a recognized institution
- Valid professional license to practice pharmacy
- 2–3 years of relevant work experience in a pharmacy or healthcare setting
