Junior Structural Engineer

Position Summary

The Junior Structural Engineer will support senior engineers in structural analysis, design, drafting coordination, technical reporting, and site-related engineering activities.

This position offers an excellent opportunity for fresh graduates to gain practical experience in structural engineering projects and develop professional skills in a collaborative environment.

Educational Requirements

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in: Civil Engineering or Structural Engineering
• Degree must be obtained from a recognized Ethiopian or international university.
• Fresh graduates are encouraged to apply.

Required Software Skills

The following software competencies are mandatory and will be considered during the selection process:

• ETABS (Mandatory)
  • Structural analysis and design of multi-storey buildings.
• SAFE (Highly Preferred)
  • Slab and foundation analysis and design.
• SAP2000 (Highly Preferred)
  • General structural analysis and modeling.

Note: Applicants without demonstrated proficiency in ETABS, SAFE, and SAP2000 may not be considered.

Additional Skills (Advantageous)

• AutoCAD – Drawing preparation and coordination.
• Microsoft Excel – Engineering calculations and data management.
• Microsoft Word – Technical report writing and documentation.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist in structural analysis and design activities.
• Support drafting coordination and technical documentation.
• Prepare engineering reports and calculations.
• Participate in site inspections and engineering activities.
• Work closely with senior engineers on project implementation.
• Ensure compliance with engineering standards and project requirements.
