Job Summary:
The Laboratory Technician will be responsible for performing routine and specialized laboratory tests, ensuring accurate results, maintaining laboratory equipment, and complying with quality and safety standards. The role requires attention to detail, professionalism, and adherence to laboratory protocols.
Key Responsibilities:
- Collect, label, and process patient specimens accurately
- Perform laboratory tests and procedures according to standard operating procedures
- Operate and maintain laboratory equipment and instruments
- Ensure proper documentation and reporting of test results
- Maintain the cleanliness and safety of the laboratory area
- Follow infection prevention and quality control guidelines
- Support senior laboratory staff and work collaboratively with healthcare teams
Qualifications and Requirements:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Medical Laboratory Technology or a related field
- Minimum of 2 years of relevant work experience as a Laboratory Technician
- Valid professional license from the appropriate regulatory body
- Good knowledge of laboratory procedures and safety standards
- Strong attention to detail and ability to work under pressure
- Good communication and teamwork skills
