About TDA
The Tigrai Development Association (TDA) is a member-based, non-for-profit, non-governmental organization established in August 1989 in Washington DC. It moved its headquarters to Mekelle, Tigray in May 1991 and was registered as a rightful association in accordance with article 404 of the Ethiopian Civil Code and other relevant proclamations.
TDA has been registered and licensed by the FDRE Ministry of Justice, Charities and Societies Agency as a resident charity in accordance with the Charities and Societies Proclamation No. 621/2009 article 111(2) with registration number 0462. It is a tax-exempted community-based development organization working at the grassroots level to realize its objectives.

Required Qualification & Experience:
Job Purpose:
The Woreda Livelihood Expert - Agriculture will lead the implementation of agriculture-focused livelihood interventions in the assigned woreda. The expert will support smallholder farmers and vulnerable households to rebuild and strengthen sustainable agricultural practices, improve food security, and enhance resilience in post-conflict and climate settings.
Key Responsibilities:

Community Engagement and Coordination: Collaborating with kebele administrators, development agents (DAs), women's groups, and youth to ensure inclusive participation in agricultural activities., Coordinating with local government offices (Agriculture, Cooperatives, and Natural Resources) to align activities with local development plans., Representing TDA in woreda-level agricultural and livelihood coordination meetings.
6. Risk Management and Compliance: Promoting sustainable practices that reduce environmental degradation and build climate resilience., Ensuring all agricultural activities adhere to TDA and donor standards, including gender and inclusion, "Do No Harm" principles, and accountability frameworks.
