Loss Prevention Officer

Job Description

BASIC RESPONSIBILITIES: Patrol all areas of the property; monitor Closed Circuit Televisions, perimeter alarm system and fire life safety system. Conduct daily physical hazard inspections. Respond to accidents, assist guests/associates during emergency situations. Notify appropriate individuals in the event of accidents, attacks, or other incidents. Report scenes of vehicle accidents/thefts. Call for assistance using proper code responses. Maintain confidentiality of all Security/Loss Prevention and property reports/documents; release information only to authorized individuals. Conduct investigations and gather evidence as required.

EDUCATION/TRAINING: Completion of Secondary School. Professional certification: training in self-defense techniques is desired.

EXPERIENCE: A minimum of two years of relevant experience in security-related operations is required.

LANGUAGE PROFICIENCY: Read, write, comprehend, and well-spoken in English fluently is required. Other international languages are a plus.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES: The individual must possess the following knowledge, skills, and abilities and be able to demonstrate that she can perform the essential functions of the job.

• Must have excellent guest contact skills
• Willingness to work in all shifts
• Must have a good knowledge of the products and services provided by the hotel.
• Must be physically fit, healthy, and alert
• Knowledge of local laws and practices
• Ability to gather and analyze information, apply good judgment.
• Must pass the physical fitness test for the position.
