Level Full-stack Developer: Mid

About the job

At Mevinai, and we’re looking for a mid-level Full-Stack Developer who lives and breathes Frappe and ERPNext — someone who enjoys solving problems, understands how businesses really work, and knows how to turn that logic into clean, reliable code.

This role is completely on-site in Addis Ababa and will start as a 6-month independent contractor position, with the possibility to extend based on performance. We’re building solid ERP systems and automation tools that actually make life easier for businesses — not just code that looks good in a repo.

What really matters to us

We honestly don’t care if you’ve got 1, 2, 3, or even 6+ years of experience. Titles, years, and fancy CVs don’t impress us. What matters is your capability — your ability to think, build, and do things the right way.

If you’re someone who learns fast, writes thoughtful code, and understands what’s happening under the hood, you’ll fit right in.

And here’s a tip: if you’re smart and practical during the paired programming challenge, you’ll stand out. We respect engineers who can calmly reason through a problem and come up with a clean solution, not just those who memorize syntax.

What you’ll be doing

• Building and customizing ERPNext apps and modules.
• Writing backend logic in Python and frontend features in JavaScript.
• Setting up CI/CD pipelines with Git, Ansible, and Docker/Kubernetes.
• Working on MariaDB performance and optimization.
• Reviewing code, improving quality, and collaborating with the team to ship solid products.

Our view on AI

We don’t mind if you use AI to assist you — most of our engineers do from time to time. What matters is that you understand every line you push to production. You should be able to write code without an AI co-pilot — after that, we don’t care how you get there.
