Job Summary
Under the direct supervision of the End Fund-Project Manager, the Junior Finance and Admin Officer is responsible for ensuring the use of an efficient financial system as per Orbis’s standard operating procedures, particularly in the field office. The candidate will also oversee overall office management.
Reporting & Working Relationships
Reports to: Project Manager
Essential Job Functions / Key Areas of Responsibility
- Financial Management: Ensure compliance with financial policies and donor regulations, process payments, and manage budgets.
- Program Expenditures: Monitor expenditures against available funds and prepare advance settlements.
- Administrative Oversight: Provide admin support, maintain organized files, and oversee inventory and assets.
- Documentation: Ensure proper financial documentation and timely handover to the management office.
Qualifications & Experience
- Educational Background: BA degree in accounting or management.
- Experience: Minimum three years of relevant experience.
Skills & Abilities
- Technical Skills: Advanced Excel and proficiency in accounting software.
- Accounting Standards: Well-versed in IRFS and IPSAS.
