Sr. Database Administrator

Job Summary

Senior Database Administrator is responsible for managing and maintaining the performance, integrity and security of the bank's databases. In addition, the role holder is also responsible for compliance with data protection policy and providing technical support for the Bank's business and banking applications.

Academic and Professional Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Computer Information System, Software Engineering or any other equivalent field.
• Professional ICT qualifications such as OCA.

Experience

• At least Five (5) years’ experience of advanced database administration experience with a large scale SQL Servers in multi-node clustered environments including replication and security.

Functional/Technical Competencies

• Demonstrable experience and understanding of database management also data segmentation and interpretation.
• Knowledge and experience of relational databases.
• Strong understanding of database structures, theories, principles, and practices.
• Hands-on database tuning and troubleshooting experience.
• Knowledge of applicable data privacy practices and laws.
• Familiarity with database management best practices
