Senior Political Analyst
Essential Qualifications, Skills and Experience
- Fluent in Amharic and English, both written and spoken
- Experience working with challenging stakeholders in complex environments
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Experience in building and maintaining professional networks outside of the organization
- Strong interest in conflict dynamics and the political landscape of Ethiopia and neighboring states
- Proactive approach with a strong “can do” attitude
- Proven track record of producing high-quality professional reporting and analytical work
Desirable Qualifications, Skills and Experience
- Experience in political reporting within embassies based in Addis Ababa
- Knowledge of additional Ethiopian languages such as Afan Oromo or Tigrigna is an advantage
