Sr. Quality Assurance (qa) Engineer

Job Summary:

The Senior Quality Assurance (QA) Engineer is responsible for leading and executing advanced testing activities to ensure that software products meet the highest quality standards before release. The role involves designing, implementing, and maintaining robust testing frameworks and processes. The Senior QA Engineer will also mentor junior QA team members, collaborate with development teams, and ensure continuous improvement in QA methodologies.

Key Responsibilities:

• Plan, design, and execute manual and automated tests to ensure product quality.
• Develop, maintain, and enhance test automation frameworks and tools.
• Identify, record, and document thoroughly all defects, and track them to resolution.
• Collaborate with developers, product managers, and other stakeholders to define acceptance criteria and ensure test coverage.
• Analyze test results, identify trends, and suggest improvements to processes and products.
• Perform regression, integration, performance, and security testing as required.
• Conduct root cause analysis of defects and recommend preventive measures.
• Mentor and support junior QA engineers to improve testing efficiency and effectiveness.
• Ensure compliance with QA processes, standards, and best practices.
• Stay current with new testing tools, trends, and technologies in software quality assurance.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.

Work Experience:

• Minimum of 3+ years of relevant experience in software quality assurance.

Competencies/ Personal attributes:

• Deep understanding of QA methodologies, testing types, and SDLC processes.
• Strong experience with both manual and automated testing tools (e.g., Postman, Cypress, Jmeter, Selenium, Jira, Playwrite, K6, Rest Assured).
• Excellent analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.
• Strong communication and leadership abilities, with a collaborative mindset.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
• Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines and version control systems (e.g., Git).
• Experience with Agile/Scrum development methodologies.
