Job Summary:
System Administrator is responsible for the end-to-end management, security, and integration of the company’s IT infrastructure. The role unifies data center operations, enterprise networking (LAN/WAN), server administration, cloud platforms (Microsoft 365 & Azure), and physical security systems (CCTV). The administrator designs and configures routers, switches, firewalls, and backup solutions while supporting ERP systems and internal business applications. The position ensures high availability, cybersecurity, and business continuity across all technology domains.
Main Duties and Responsibilities:
Infrastructure & Data Center Management
- Manage and maintain physical and virtual server environments (VMware/Hyper-V), including installation, configuration, and patch management.
- Administer Windows Server (2016/2019/2022) and Linux environments.
- Manage Active Directory (AD), DNS, DHCP, and Group Policy Objects (GPOs).
- Architect and manage backup solutions for IT systems and CCTV footage.
- Perform regular restore testing and manage off-site/cloud backups.
Networking & Security (LAN/WAN)
- Design, implement, and document LAN and WAN architectures.
- Configure and maintain enterprise-grade network hardware including routers, switches, and wireless controllers.
- Manage next-generation firewalls for threat prevention and VPN connectivity.
- Ensure secure remote access and unified technology integration.
Physical Security & Surveillance (CCTV)
- Administer IP CCTV infrastructure and optimize network performance for video traffic.
- Manage CCTV backup strategies and ensure compliance with retention policies.
- Support surveillance system monitoring and maintenance.
Cloud & Microsoft Ecosystem
- Manage Microsoft 365 tenant including Exchange Online, SharePoint, Teams, and compliance tools.
- Administer Microsoft Azure IaaS and PaaS resources.
- Manage Azure Active Directory (Entra ID) Connect and Azure Site Recovery.
- Ensure email security, spam filtering, and email archiving.
Business Applications & ERP
- Provide technical support for ERP systems and business applications.
- Monitor database performance and troubleshoot integration issues.
- Manage user permissions and application availability.
Server Administration
- Install, configure, and maintain physical and virtual servers.
- Monitor server performance, resource utilization, and capacity planning.
- Implement system security measures, patches, and updates.
- Manage disaster recovery and business continuity plans.
Development & Automation
- Develop scripts and automation tools for system administration tasks.
- Customize and support D365FO ERP system functionalities.
- Collaborate with developers to integrate ERP systems with other applications.
- Troubleshoot and debug software issues within the ERP environment.
Qualification:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Software Engineering, or related field.
Experience:
- Minimum 3 years of relevant work experience in System Administration or Network Administration.
Technical Competencies:
- Advanced proficiency in Windows Server, Active Directory, and Linux administration.
- Experience with Hyper-V and Hyper-V Failover Cluster Manager.
- Strong knowledge of TCP/IP, VLANs, VPNs, OSPF/BGP routing, and SD-WAN.
- Hands-on experience with enterprise firewalls and IT security systems.
- Expertise in VMware vSphere or Microsoft Hyper-V virtualization technologies.
- Experience with Microsoft Azure and Microsoft 365 administration.
- Knowledge of backup technologies such as Veeam or Acronis.
- Familiarity with IP CCTV systems and Video Management Software (VMS).
- Strong understanding of ERP systems, servers, and network infrastructure.
Certification:
Industry certifications such as CCNA, CCNP, MCSA/MCSE, Azure Administrator Associate, Fortinet NSE, ERP, Networking, or Programming certifications are highly preferred.
