Job Summary
The Trainee Analyst role is designed for recent graduates or early-career professionals who are eager to develop strong analytical, data interpretation, and problem-solving skills. The position focuses on supporting data-driven decision-making through analysis, visualization, and reporting across different business functions. Trainees will gain hands-on experience in working with datasets, preparing insights, and presenting findings in a clear and impactful manner while developing both technical and professional competencies in a fast-paced environment.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree or higher with CGPA 3.0+ in Economics, Statistics, Engineering, Health, or related disciplines.
- 0–1 year of work experience in a relevant field, including internships or project-based work.
- Keen eye for visualization and design, with the ability to create compelling, well-structured visuals, layouts, and graphics (from data dashboards to full design assets) that effectively communicate ideas and insights.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in Amharic and English.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office tools (Excel, Word, PowerPoint); proficiency in other analytical tools is an advantage.
- Demonstrated leadership and decision-making abilities through professional or extracurricular activities.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team and adapt to changing priorities.
- Comfortable working in ambiguous and changing situations.
- Willingness and aspiration for continuous learning and development.
Key Responsibilities (Training Exposure)
- Assist in collecting, cleaning, and organizing datasets for analysis.
- Support the preparation of reports, dashboards, and presentations.
- Conduct basic data analysis under supervision using Excel and other tools.
- Develop visual representations of data to communicate insights clearly.
- Support senior analysts in research, modeling, and interpretation of results.
- Participate in team projects and contribute to problem-solving discussions.
- Assist in documentation and reporting of analytical findings.
