Our client is looking for a skilled Translator to translate written and spoken content from English to Amharic and Amharic to English with accuracy, clarity, and cultural understanding. The ideal candidate must have excellent language skills and the ability to deliver high-quality translations on time.
Key Responsibilities
- Translate documents, emails, reports, and other materials between English and Amharic.
- Ensure accuracy, consistency, and clear meaning in every translation.
- Proofread and edit translated content before submission.
- Maintain the original tone, intent, and context of the source content.
- Work closely with internal teams to understand project requirements.
- Meet deadlines and manage multiple translation tasks.
Requirements
- Excellent command of both English and Amharic.
- Experience as a translator or in a language-related role. (Advantageous)
- Strong writing, editing, and communication skills.
- Ability to translate accurately without losing meaning.
- Attention to detail and ability to work under deadlines.
- Computer literacy and basic document formatting skills.
