Job Summary:
The Underwriting Officer-I is responsible for assessing and evaluating insurance risks, reviewing applications, and supporting underwriting decisions in line with company policies and regulatory standards. The role ensures accurate risk analysis and contributes to maintaining a balanced and profitable insurance portfolio.
Job Requirement:
Qualification:
- BA/BSc Degree in Management, Accounting & Finance, Statistics, Mathematics, Marketing Management, Business Administration, or related field from a recognized higher learning institution
Experience:
- Minimum of 1 year and above relevant work experience as an Underwriting Officer in an insurance company
Skills & Competencies:
- Strong analytical and risk assessment skills
- Good understanding of insurance principles and underwriting processes
- Attention to detail and accuracy
- Good communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and within a team
