Job Summary
Abebech Gobena Charity invites qualified and committed candidates to apply for the position of Women Empowerment Expert. The role is responsible to oversee the holistic development of female trainees in the charity’s Women Empowerment through Skill Training Center by managing their training lifecycle, providing psychosocial support, and ensuring sustainable economic integration through employment or self-employment.
Key Responsibilities
- Register, organize, and maintain comprehensive digital and physical profiles for trainees.
- Ensure all student records, attendance, and progress reports are securely documented for institutional reporting.
- Provide continuous monitoring of trainees during the program to ensure high engagement and performance.
- Offer professional counseling and guidance to help trainees overcome personal, social, or financial barriers, and act as a problem-solver to resolve any challenges that might lead to trainee dropout.
- Facilitate trainees for the Coc Exam, practical training, and create an enabling environment for graduates by networking with institutions, job centers, and cooperatives.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in social work, sociology, psychology, and related fields
- Strong computer skills
- Experience in gathering information, documentation, and report writing
Required Experience
- Minimum of 1 year relevant experience
- Experience with NGOs or a women empowerment program is an advantage.
Required Skills and Competencies
- Excellent communication, coordination, and interpersonal skills.
- Counseling, mentoring, and reporting skills.
- Ability to work effectively with multidisciplinary teams.
