Job Purpose

The Machinist is responsible for the manufacturing and modification of factory machinery spare parts, maintenance, welding, and the fabrication of metal and structural components as required.

This role plays a key part in ensuring the operational efficiency and safety of production equipment

Main Responsibilities

  1. Manufacture and modify factory machinery spare parts and structures.
  2. Provide technical drawings for executed spare parts.
  3. Remove and clean threads of broken bolts using drilling techniques.
  4. Operate and maintain workshop equipment effectively.
  5. Follow established working practices, procedures, and safety regulations.
  6. Adhere to health and safety standards as per legal and company requirements.
  7. Perform duties under the 5S3R program in the production shop.
  8. Maintain workplace cleanliness and organization in line with safety and labor protection standards

Who Are We Looking For?

We are seeking a disciplined, energetic, and self-starting individual who demonstrates initiative and practical problem-solving skills. The ideal candidate will have:

Education

  • Diploma Level 4 or 5 in General Mechanics or Machining from a recognized institution.

Work Experience

  • 3 to 5 years of relevant experience in a manufacturing or industrial setting.

Knowledge

  • Proficiency in English (oral and written).
  • Confident user of Microsoft Office tools

Skills

  • Strong working knowledge and hands-on experience with:
    • Lathe Machine
    • Milling Machine
    • XYZ Axis Drilling Machine
    • Arc Welding
    • TIG Welding
    • Plumbing
  • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings.
  • Familiarity with workshop safety and maintenance protocols.

Other Responsibilities

  • Manage various tasks and projects as assigned by the manager.
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives and contribute to a safe and efficient work environment
