Job Summary
The Branch Manager I is responsible for leading overall branch operations, ensuring efficient service delivery, business growth, regulatory compliance, and strong customer relationship management. The role involves supervising branch staff, driving deposit and loan growth, maintaining operational efficiency, and ensuring that the branch meets its financial and service performance targets in line with the bank’s strategic objectives.
Educational Qualifications
- M.A or B.A Degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, Management, Business Administration, Banking & Finance, or related fields of study.
Work Experience & Required Skills
- A minimum of 6–8 years of banking work experience.
- At least 2 years of experience as Banking Business Manager III, or
- 3 years in roles such as Banking Business Manager II, Branch Internal Control Officer II, Senior Banking Business Officer (Accounts or Cash) II, Banking Business Manager I, Senior Banking Business Officer (Accounts or Cash) I, Branch Internal Control Officer I, or equivalent core banking business-related positions.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee daily branch operations and ensure smooth service delivery.
- Develop and implement strategies to achieve branch business targets.
- Supervise and support branch staff performance and development.
- Ensure compliance with banking regulations, internal policies, and audit requirements.
- Manage customer relationships and ensure high levels of customer satisfaction.
- Monitor financial performance including deposits, loans, and profitability.
- Identify business opportunities to grow the branch portfolio.
- Handle escalated customer issues and ensure timely resolution.
