Required Education: BSc in Construction Management or Civil Engineering
Experience: 5-10 years (NGO experience)
Key Responsibilities:
Project Planning: Develop detailed project plans, including timelines, budgets, and resource allocation for construction activities.
Site Assessment: Conduct site evaluations to determine suitability for construction, considering environmental, social, and regulatory factors.
Design Oversight: Collaborate with architects and designers to create safe, sustainable, and cost-effective building designs.
Quality Control: Implement and monitor quality assurance protocols to ensure construction meets safety and regulatory standards.
Material Management: Specify and source appropriate construction materials, ensuring they are sustainable and within budget.
Team Coordination: Supervise and coordinate the work of construction teams, subcontractors, and labor to ensure project milestones are met.
Community Engagement: Involve local communities in the construction process, addressing their needs and concerns to foster ownership and sustainability.
Compliance Monitoring: Ensure all construction activities comply with local laws, regulations, and NGO policies.
Training and Capacity Building: Provide training to local workers and volunteers in construction techniques and safety practices.
Reporting and Documentation: Maintain accurate records of project progress, expenditures, and compliance with funding requirements, providing regular updates to stakeholders.
Perform other duties as assigned by the project coordinator.
