The devops engineer is expected to setup server environment for production sites( Health facility) ,deployment and configuration of EMR system which is based bahmini open- source software,deployment of product updates, identifying production issues and implementing it based on customer needs.
Roles and Responsibilities
- Server environment set up
- Back up device configuration
- Deploy updates and fixes
- Provide Level 2 technical support
- Build tools to reduce occurrences of errors and improve customer experience
- Perform root cause analysis for production errors
- Investigate and resolve technical issues
- Develop scripts to automate tasks (backups, starting of services….)
- Design procedures for system troubleshooting and maintenance
- Testing servers’ management
- ensure efficiency within their workplace, meeting deadlines and optimizing code for eventual server output.
Experience Required:
- Working knowledge of Linux i.e. ability to read/understand simple shell scripts, familiarity with common Linux commands, file-system/user/process concepts.
- Basic understanding of networks. Ability to do very basic network diagnostics and maintenance.
- Basic understanding of how browser and server interact with each other over the network.
- Knowledge of SQL, Postgres. Familiarity with JavaScript, Struts, Spring, Java, Python, React.JS, Angular.JS, Ansible, Bash, CentOS,...
- Familiarity with configuring end user devices running Android and Windows. .
- Good communication skills
- Ability to explain and provide training teach Bahmni to stakeholders of the EMR.
Qualification
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering or relevant field
- At least 2 and above years experience in similar roles
