General Medical Practitioner

Duties and Responsibilities

A GP deals with the diagnosis, prevention, and management of diseases, works in wards and outpatient & ICU. Generally responsible for performing rout check-ups, giving recommendations, making preliminary diagnosis, and referring a specialist for further assessment of treatment it need be.

• Responds to health problems presented by patients with history taking performing physical examinations and starting appropriate treatment and relating to other specialist for their evaluations and treatment.
• Plans, implements, or administers health programs for information, prevention, and treatment of surgical injuries.
• Gives health advices concerning diet, hygiene, and disease prevention.
• Collects, records, and maintains patient information on the main hospital record of the patient.
• Admits patients requiring special care followed by investigations and treatment.
• Works with other Doctors/Specialists as part of the team, either in the same department or within other specialties.
• Works together with other medical and non-medical staffs in the Center to ensure quality treatment.
• Performs any other relevant duties when found appropriate.
• Leasing with other health care professionals and /or hospitals.
• Possible primary and basic ATLS treatment provision.
• Document all investigation, treatment, plan, consultations and progress.
• Monitor patient safety with respect to works together with staff members to Nursing care and Patient right and responsibilities.
• Teaching prevention, of community health problems.
• Make sure the Center running with respect to government policy and make aware the other staffs of permanent policies.

Job Requirements

Qualifications

• Doctor of Medicine.

Experience Required

• A minimum of 1 years’ relevant work experience.
