Role Overview
We’re looking for a passionate English Proficiency Trainer who can effectively teach and prepare students for international English exams such as Duolingo English Test, IELTS, and TOEFL. You’ll be responsible for guiding students through all sections of these exams, ensuring measurable progress in speaking, listening, reading, and writing.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct classes for Duolingo, IELTS, and TOEFL students.
- Develop training materials, mock tests, and feedback sessions.
- Track and report student progress and exam readiness.
- Evaluate language levels and recommend improvement plans.
- Support students with exam registration and test-taking strategies.
- Create educational content related to English proficiency training (small videos, tips, sample questions, or guidance posts).
- Stay updated on test format changes and best teaching practices.
Requirements
- Proven fluency in English (C1+ or equivalent).
- Must have taken Duolingo (score 140+), IELTS (8.0+), or TOEFL (100+).
- Excellent communication, teaching, and mentoring skills.
- A laptop and strong internet connection for hybrid/online delivery.
- Strong knowledge of test-taking tips, scoring systems, and question formats.
Preferred
- Prior experience as a language instructor or test prep tutor.
- Educational background in English, Education, or Linguistics.
- Ability to manage multiple students or group sessions.
