About the Role
On behalf of our client, a well-established Coffee Export Company, GeezJobs is looking for an experienced and results-driven Export Manager to lead and manage all export operations.
The ideal candidate will have solid knowledge of the coffee export business, including export documentation, logistics coordination, buyer communication, and compliance with export regulations. This role requires a professional who can ensure efficiency, quality, and profitability in every step of the export process.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage the entire coffee export process from contract to shipment.
- Prepare and review all export-related documentation, such as contracts, invoices, packing lists, and shipping instructions.
- Ensure compliance with Ethiopian Coffee & Tea Authority (ECTA) and customs export regulations.
- Coordinate with logistics companies, shipping lines, and clearing agents for timely deliveries.
- Communicate and maintain strong relationships with international buyers and stakeholders.
- Oversee coffee quality control, warehouse coordination, and pre-shipment inspections.
- Prepare export sales reports and monitor market performance.
- Manage export payments, Letters of Credit (LC), and related financial documentation.
- Conduct market research to identify new export opportunities and strengthen existing markets.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s or Master's Degree in Business, Export Management, International Trade, or related field.
- Minimum 5+ years of experience in which Coffee Export is a MUST
- Strong understanding of export procedures, INCOTERMS, and logistics management.
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills in English and Amharic.
- Good computer skills (MS Office, Excel, and export tracking systems).
- Strong leadership, organizational, and analytical skills.
