Ethio Wetlands and Natural Resources Association (EWNRA) is a non-political, non-religious, non-profit civil society organization focused on sustainable natural resource management and livelihood improvement in Ethiopia. With funding from the Royal Norwegian Embassy through Farm Africa, EWNRA is launching a short-term pilot project titled “Supporting Ethiopian Coffee Farmers for EUDR-Compliant Marketing (ECOM)” in Becho, Didu, and Halu woredas of Ilu Ababor Zone. To support project implementation, EWNRA is seeking qualified professionals for short-term positions in the target areas.

Three (One professional will be hired for each of the three project woredas: Becho, Didu, and Halu).
Duty Station
Oromia Region, Ilu Ababor Zone, Becho, Didu, and Halu woredas.
Duties and Responsibilities
Under the supervision of the Southwest Ethiopia Projects Coordination Office Coordinator at Metu, the data collectors will have the following duties:
- Data Collection and Verification
- Conduct field visits to coffee farms, cooperatives, and households to collect accurate and reliable data.
- Use digital tools and/or paper-based surveys as required.
- Verify and cross-check data with farmers and cooperative records.
- Geolocation and Mapping Support
- Assist in collecting GPS coordinates of coffee plots.
- Support field teams in mapping land boundaries and production areas.
- Farmer Engagement and Communication
- Liaise with coffee farmers and cooperative leaders.
- Explain the purpose of the project and the importance of EUDR compliance.
- Data Entry and Reporting
- Enter collected data into designated systems accurately.
- Prepare brief field reports summarizing progress and challenges.
- Monitoring and Field Support
- Support monitoring of compliance-related indicators.
- Assist project teams in coordinating trainings and community meetings.
- Ethical and Confidential Conduct
- Maintain high standards of data integrity and confidentiality.
- Ensure informed consent is obtained before collecting data.
- Logistical and Operational Support
- Coordinate field schedules and travel plans.
- Report equipment issues or logistical challenges promptly.
- Perform any other duties as assigned by the Coordinator.
Knowledge of local language is mandatory.

Terms of Employment: The position is offered on a three-month contract basis, with the possibility of a two-month extension.
