About the Role
The Finance Manager aims to be recognized as a trusted advisor to the business. This role supports the finance leader in developing their finance team and enabling them to thrive. The Finance Manager communicates effectively with all stakeholders, ensures a robust control and compliance environment, and is aware of the EMEA finance management company value proposition, appealing to both existing and new owners. Furthermore, the role partners with the business to maximize profit for shareholders and owners while supporting the finance leader in innovating and delivering an industry-leading, efficient finance organization.
Key Responsibilities
1. Financial Performance Accountability
- Understand and drive financial performance for the hotel, adhering to all finance activities within the policy, regulatory, and contractual framework.
2. Business Partnership
- Collaborate with the General Manager and develop excellent working relationships with various stakeholders, including Hotel Finance, Commercial, IT, Procurement, Human Resources, Operations, Shared Service Centers, Owners, and Asset Managers.
- Work closely with all Business Partners to develop best-in-class hotel Finance teams, participating in relevant Finance development programs.
3. Compliance and Process Implementation
- Remain familiar with the management agreement for the Hotel.
- Implement processes and procedures to ensure compliance with the management agreement, reporting any issues of non-compliance to your supervising manager.

- Ability to analyze large volumes of complex financial information from various sources and create reports, forecasts, and projections.
- Strong problem-solving skills, with the ability to effectively address issues in collaboration with others as appropriate.
- Proactive in identifying and preventing potential problems.
- Capacity to help develop problem-solving skills among direct reports and other team members as appropriate.
- Initiative to identify, prioritize, and implement all elements required for the team to fulfill responsibilities.
- Capability to manage and develop staff effectively.
- Detail-oriented and organized.
- Adept at developing presentations and presenting effectively to all management levels, hotels, and owners.
- Strong communication and negotiation skills to engage effectively at all levels of management and with external customers.
- Proficient in MS Excel, Word, and Outlook, with an ability to quickly learn new programs as required.
Additional Preferences
- University degree in Accounting or Finance.
