Fleet And Operation Manager

About the Role:

Abet Technologies is seeking an experienced and highly organized fleet manager to oversee our truck fleet. The Fleet Manager will ensure the efficiency, safety, and compliance of our transportation operations. This role requires strong leadership to manage drivers, optimize fleet utilization, and ensure smooth daily operations.

Key Responsibilities:

• Plan, manage, and monitor daily fleet operations to achieve operational targets.
• Develop and implement fleet policies, maintenance schedules, and cost-control measures.
• Supervise vehicle inspections, maintenance, and repairs to ensure roadworthiness and compliance with Ethiopian transport regulations.
• Manage and lead the fleet team, including drivers and operational staff, fostering a high-performance and safety-focused culture and policies and safety standards.
• Oversee operational performance and ensure timely delivery of all fleet services.
• Coordinate registration, insurance, and licensing for all fleet vehicles.
• Monitor fleet performance using GPS tracking and telematics and provide actionable insights.
• Prepare regular reports on fuel consumption, operating costs, and performance improvement plans.
• Collaborate with other departments to ensure timely and efficient delivery operations.

Qualifications and Experience:

• Bachelor’s degree in logistics, supply chain, transport management, or a related field (preferred).
• Minimum 7 years of proven experience in fleet management, with at least 4 years in a supervisory, managerial, or director-level role.
• Demonstrated experience as a team leader with strong people management and problem-solving skills.
• Strong knowledge of vehicle maintenance, local transport laws, and fleet management software.
• Excellent organizational, leadership, and communication abilities.
