About the Job
Job Summary / Key Responsibilities
- Provide technical support to employees and assist with hardware and software issues
- Install, configure, and maintain computer systems, servers, and network equipment
- Troubleshoot hardware and software problems and provide timely solutions
- Manage user accounts and permissions, ensuring data security and access control
- Implement and maintain backup and disaster recovery procedures
- Install and update antivirus and security software to protect the organization's IT infrastructure
- Assist in the procurement of IT equipment and software
- Train employees on IT best practices and ensure IT policy compliance
- Stay updated on emerging IT trends and technologies
- Collaborate with other IT team members on larger projects
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Science and Technology, Computer Science, or a related field
- Proven experience in IT support or a similar role (Entry to Mid-Level, with minimum required experience as applicable)
- Strong knowledge of computer systems, networks, and software applications
- Proficiency in operating systems (Windows, Linux, etc.) and productivity software
- Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills
- Good communication and interpersonal skills
- Certifications such as CompTIA A+, CompTIA Network+, or Microsoft Certified IT Professional (MCITP) are an advantage
