Job Summary
OLY Printing & Packaging is seeking an experienced Junior Printing Specialist to manage and execute the full printing process—from prepress to final production. This role requires deep knowledge of various printing techniques, strong attention to detail, and the ability to efficiently oversee production workflows and ensure high-quality results.
Key Duties
- Printing Operations: Support handling printing jobs using offset, digital, and large-format machines to produce business cards, brochures, posters, packaging, etc.
- Prepress Preparation: Review orders, ensure files are print-ready, manage plate-making, and calibrate color settings.
- Quality Assurance: Monitor and assist all production stages for consistency, color accuracy, and final output quality.
- Machine Handling: Operate and maintain various printing and finishing machines.
- Inventory Control: Manage supplies like paper, ink, and printing materials to prevent downtime.
- Team Collaboration: Work closely with design, production, and finishing teams to meet client expectations.
- Documentation: Record machine settings, materials used, and production specifications.
- Safety & Cleanliness: Follow safety protocols and maintain a clean, organized work area.
Qualifications
- Experience: Zero years in a printing role.
- Technical Skills: Little academic knowledge about Graphics Design work and other related proficiencies.
- Education: High school diploma or equivalent; technical certification in printing or graphic arts is a plus.
Working Conditions
- Environment: Work directly with printing machines and materials; may include occasional field work.
- Tools: Use advanced printing equipment and ERP systems for production tracking.
- Schedule: Full-time role with standard shifts; occasional overtime or weekend work may be needed.
