Job Summary
The Junior Receptionist and Cashier is responsible for providing professional front desk services while accurately handling cash transactions and customer payments. The role involves welcoming visitors, responding to inquiries, processing payments, issuing receipts, maintaining financial records, and supporting daily administrative activities. The ideal candidate should possess excellent customer service skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Welcome and assist visitors, customers, and clients in a professional and courteous manner.
- Answer incoming telephone calls, respond to inquiries, and direct calls to the appropriate departments.
- Receive customer payments through cash, bank transfers, POS, or other approved payment methods.
- Issue official receipts and maintain accurate records of all financial transactions.
- Balance cash collections at the end of each shift and prepare daily cash reports.
- Maintain the reception area to ensure it remains clean, organized, and welcoming.
- Schedule appointments and maintain visitor and customer records.
- Assist customers by providing accurate information about the organization's products, services, or procedures.
- Coordinate with finance and other departments to resolve payment-related issues.
- Maintain confidentiality of customer information and financial records.
- Support general administrative and clerical duties as assigned.
- Ensure compliance with company policies, financial procedures, and customer service standards.
Requirements
- Diploma or Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, Management, Business Administration, Marketing Management, Secretarial Science, or a related field.
- 0–2 years of relevant experience in reception, cashier, customer service, or administrative roles.
- Fresh graduates are encouraged to apply.
- Basic knowledge of cash handling procedures and financial record keeping.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, Outlook).
- Good verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong numerical accuracy and attention to detail.
- Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills.
- Ability to work under pressure and handle multiple tasks efficiently.
