Job Summary

We are looking for experienced MEAL Officer. The Planning, Monitoring, Evaluation, officer manages information and reporting processes, develops appropriate methodologies and tools for evaluation, knowledge management and learning in program design and implementation. S/he will be responsible for the entire project cycle, from initial planning and setting up M&E systems to data collection, analysis, reporting, and learning. They ensure projects are on track, effective, and achieving their intended impact, and also contribute to capacity building in these areas.

Key Responsibilities

• Formulate Annual Plans and Five Year Strategic Plan of the organization
• Prepare organizational plan and submit to concerned bodies of the organization;
• Prepare organizational annual calendar
• Inspects physical and financial progress of projects and communicate with concerned bodies for solution
• Monitoring and review of the implementation of annual Plan Schemes.
• Routine monitoring and field data collection
• Reporting quality & timeliness 
• Beneficiary feedback and accountability systems
• Learning and documentation of project results

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree (required) or Master’s degree (desirable) in fields like economics, development studies, public administration, social sciences, statistics, business, or related fields.
• 5 years of relevant work for Bachelor’s degree especially in M&E, project design, planning, monitoring, and evaluation; for Master’s degree 3 years of experience.
• Excellent English & Amharic communication is mandatory; other local languages often preferred.
• Working with international NGOs and understanding their specific requirements, reporting procedures and best practices is a significant advantage.
