Job Description
Samaritan Surgical Center, Ethiopia’s first to specialize in surgical services such as arthroscopic total hip replacement (insertion of artificial hip) and arthroscopic knee surgeries, Neurosurgery (including brain, skull, and spine), Urology surgery (including kidney and bladder), Plastic Surgery, Neuro-Interventional/Neuro ICU, 24/7 trauma and emergency surgeries, etc. The surgical center is a state-of-the-art facility that incorporates the latest surgery theatres, pre- and post-surgery rooms, recovery rooms, surgical wards, ICU, and diagnostic facilities, and it is staffed by renowned surgeons. The surgical facility focuses on providing sustainable, high-quality surgical care to patients. Accordingly, for the successful implementation of the Health Center activities, Samaritan Surgical Center would like to invite interested and qualified applicants for the position of Pharmacy Head.

Main Duties and Responsibilities
- Oversee and manage daily pharmacy operations
- Supervise, train, and evaluate pharmacy staff
- Ensure safe, accurate, and timely dispensing of medications
- Maintain compliance with regulatory and legal requirements
- Manage procurement, inventory, and stock control systems
- Ensure proper storage and handling of all pharmaceuticals
- Coordinate with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals
- Monitor medication safety and prevent dispensing errors
- Provide clinical guidance and patient counseling support
- Prepare and review reports on pharmacy performance and stock status
- Develop and implement pharmacy policies and standard operating procedures (SOPs)
- Ensure quality assurance, infection control, and continuous service improvement
Job Requirements
Qualifications
- BSc Degree in Pharmacy
Experience Required
- A minimum of 2 years’ relevant work experience
