Job Summary
The job holder is responsible to manage multiple IT projects, ensuring they align with the Bank’s strategic goals and are delivered on time, within scope, and within budget. The job holder will oversee the entire project lifecycle, from planning to execution, focusing on effective project delivery, performance monitoring, and risk management. S/he will lead cross-functional teams, coordinate project resources, and ensure that key stakeholders are kept informed throughout the process. In addition to project management, s/he ensure projects comply with internal standards and regulations while identifying opportunities for process improvements. And also the job holder drive continuous improvement in project management practices to enhance efficiency, quality, and outcomes.
Roles and Responsibility
- Assist in planning, organizing, and overseeing the execution of IT projects.
- Coordination & Communication: Serve as the liaison between the IT department, project stakeholders, vendors, and other departments (e.g., operations, compliance, risk management). Ensure regular updates and clear communication channels across all parties involved.
- Monitor project progress, track milestones, and report on timelines, deliverables, and potential risks to ensure projects are completed on time and within budget.
- Maintain comprehensive project documentation, including project plans, schedules, meeting minutes, risk logs, and status reports.
- Assist in the allocation of resources and work with team members to address challenges and delays. Ensure resource utilization aligns with project timelines.
- Identify and address potential risks or issues that may impact the success of IT projects. Work proactively to mitigate delays and ensure project objectives are met.
- Ensure all IT projects comply with banking regulations, security protocols, and industry standards.
- Coordinate with third-party vendors and service providers, ensuring proper service levels and performance according to project contracts.
- Support quality assurance testing and validation processes to ensure the bank’s IT systems meet required standards and deliver expected outcomes.
- Support the definition, implementation, and auditing of metadata standards, ensuring alignment with organizational data governance goals;
- Actively promote the importance of data governance across the organization and support initiatives to enhance its adoption and adherence; and
- Perform other tasks as assigned by immediate supervisor.
Qualification
- BSc/MSc degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Computer Engineering, Information System Management, Project Management or a related field of studies.
- PMP, PRINCE2, Agile, or equivalent (preferred).
- 6 (Six) years relevant and proven work experience in Banking and Financial Industry, minimum of two years and above experience in Senior position.
