Job Summary
The Project Architect will be responsible for supporting both product development and project execution activities. This role involves:
- Contributing to the design, testing, and improvement of building products
- Working on the planning and coordination of construction projects
- Collaborating with internal teams and external partners
- Providing technical support on-site
- Ensuring design solutions align with project requirements and user needs
Duties and Responsibilities
- Develop 2D/3D drawings and visualizations for construction projects.
- Prepare Bill of Quantities (BOQ) and assist with cost comparisons.
- Engage in project planning and coordination.
- Provide technical support during project planning and on-site implementation, including evaluating project feasibility.
- Conduct market and user research to gather customer insights.
- Maintain manuals, reports, and technical documentation.
- Document product performance, defects, and improvements.
- Translate customer feedback into actionable product improvements.
- Support the development of product specifications and requirements (R&D).
- Support innovation in product applications and field adaptation.
- Collaborate to develop new products and design concepts.
Qualifications & Competencies
- Bachelor’s degree in Architecture.
- 1-2 years of experience in design, construction (with alternative building materials, or product development is a plus).
- Proficient in AutoCAD, SketchUp, Revit, and similar design tools.
- Ability to work on-site and support construction teams.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, organizational, and documentation skills.
- Experience with or interest in sustainable building materials.
- Strong communication skills for both technical reporting and field training.
Languages Required
- Amharic and English
