Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Construction Project Manager to oversee the planning, execution, and successful completion of construction projects. The role involves managing project schedules, budgets, resources, subcontractors, and site activities while ensuring compliance with quality, safety, and regulatory standards. The position requires strong leadership, coordination, and communication with clients, consultants, contractors, and internal teams.
Job Responsibilities
- Plan, organize, and manage construction projects from initiation to completion.
- Develop and monitor project schedules, budgets, and work plans.
- Coordinate architects, engineers, consultants, subcontractors, suppliers, and site teams.
- Monitor project progress to ensure timely completion within approved budgets.
- Review construction drawings, specifications, contracts, and technical documents.
- Ensure compliance with local regulations, safety standards, quality requirements, and company policies.
- Conduct regular site inspections, progress reviews, and coordination meetings.
- Identify project risks and implement corrective and preventive actions.
- Prepare and submit progress reports, payment certificates, variation orders, and project updates.
- Manage procurement activities and material delivery schedules.
- Handle contract administration, claims management, and consultant/client correspondence.
- Monitor project costs and ensure effective financial control throughout execution.
- Supervise site engineers, office engineers, quality control engineers, and safety officers.
- Coordinate with subcontractors and resolve technical and operational issues.
- Ensure efficient utilization of labor, materials, equipment, and resources.
- Maintain strong relationships with clients, consultants, and stakeholders.
Job Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, Architecture, or related field.
- Minimum of 8+ years of experience in construction project management.
- Strong knowledge of construction methods, materials, contracts, and regulations.
- Experience managing commercial, residential, or infrastructure projects.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Project, Primavera P6, and AutoCAD.
- Strong leadership, communication, negotiation, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
- PMP certification is an added advantage.
