Job Description
Our company is seeking a Quality Assurance & Logistics Officer to ensure that pulses, oilseeds, and coffee exports meet international standards while logistics operations run efficiently, minimizing losses and ensuring customer satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities:
- Quality Assurance
- Inspect pulses, oilseeds, and coffee at warehouses, cleaning stations, and prior to container loading.
- Oversee cleaning, hulling, grading, and sorting processes to meet export standards.
- Monitor quality parameters: moisture, admixture, and cup quality (for coffee).
- Liaise with inspection agencies (SGS, Cotecna, Bureau Veritas, ECX labs) for certification.
- Prepare and maintain detailed QC reports; escalate or reject non-compliant consignments.
Logistics Management

Key Responsibilities:
- Quality Assurance
- Inspect pulses, oilseeds, and coffee at warehouses, cleaning stations, and prior to container loading.
- Oversee cleaning, hulling, grading, and sorting processes to meet export standards.
- Monitor quality parameters: moisture, admixture, and cup quality (for coffee).
- Liaise with inspection agencies (SGS, Cotecna, Bureau Veritas, ECX labs) for certification.
- Prepare and maintain detailed QC reports.
- Coordinate movement from suppliers/farmers to warehouses and container points.
- Supervise loading/unloading, ensuring correct weight, quantity, and safe handling.
- Ensure proper packaging, fumigation, and labeling for export.
- Liaise with clearing agents, shipping lines, and transport companies; track shipments.
- Prepare logistics documents: packing lists, delivery notes, truck waybills.
Compliance & Documentation
- Ensure compliance with ECX, Coffee & Tea Authority, and Ministry of Trade export standards.
- Prepare Phytosanitary Certificates, Coffee Quality Certificates, Certificates of Origin.
- Verify documentation aligns with buyer contracts and regulations.
Operational Support
- Provide reports on quality performance, shipment status, and operational risks.
- Recommend improvements in storage, handling, and logistics.
- Minimize losses, damages, and demurrage through proactive supervision.
Qualifications & Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Agriculture, Food Science, Supply Chain Management, or related field.
- 2–3 years’ experience in pulses, oilseed, and coffee export operations.
- Strong understanding of international grading and quality standards.
- Familiarity with ECX procedures, customs clearance, and export regulations.
- Proficient in MS Office; ERP/logistics systems preferred.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and attention to detail.
- Willingness to travel frequently.
