Job Description
East Africa Bottling S.C., a subsidiary of Coca-Cola Beverages Africa and the exclusive bottler of Coca-Cola products in Ethiopia, invites passionate and qualified candidates to apply for the position of Regional Sales Manager. The successful candidate will report directly to the Sales Director.
Key Purpose
The Regional Sales Manager is responsible for driving sustainable business growth and market share within the assigned region by:
- Developing and executing effective sales strategies
- Leading and motivating the sales team
- Building strong relationships with key customers, distributors, and stakeholders
Key Duties & Responsibilities
Sales Leadership Responsibilities:
- Deliver business performance and profitability by developing and executing customer- and channel-specific plans, optimizing pack margins, leveraging market insights, and ensuring effective implementation of promotional programs and national initiatives.
- Lead and develop the sales organization by monitoring performance, providing coaching, implementing sales force effectiveness tools, and ensuring alignment of remuneration, segmentation, and customer management practices.
- Drive execution and continuous improvement by managing RED systems, cold drink equipment requirements, merchandising, and automation initiatives, while closing performance gaps in collaboration with cross-functional and specialist teams.
Sales Execution:
- Drive revenue growth and channel strategies by developing and executing customer- and channel-specific plans, optimizing pack margins, leveraging market insights, and ensuring effective implementation of promotional programs and national initiatives.
- Lead sales execution and customer engagement through strong sales force leadership, resource allocation, trade visits, quarterly business reviews, and building strategic customer relationships to unlock business growth opportunities.
- Ensure operational excellence and competitive advantage by overseeing asset care, demand planning, project execution, and competitor monitoring, while maintaining high standards of performance and accountability across the districts.
Skills, Experience & Education
- First Degree in Marketing Management, Management, Economics, Business Administration, or related field of studies
- A minimum of 5 years relevant work experience in Sales and Marketing, with 3 years in a managerial position
- Must have a valid minimum Auto / Dry 1 driving license
- Hands-on experience as a Sales in Fast Moving Consumer Goods environment is advantageous
- Proven ability to effectively manage teams
