Saving Mobilization And Member Relations Officer

Job Summary

The Saving Mobilization and Member Relations Officer is responsible for promoting savings culture, mobilizing members, and strengthening relationships between the SACCO and its members.

The role focuses on increasing member participation, improving savings performance, ensuring member satisfaction, and supporting the overall growth and sustainability of the cooperative.

Key Responsibilities

• Promote savings mobilization campaigns and encourage member participation.
• Recruit new members and retain existing members through engagement strategies.
• Provide information and guidance to members on SACCO products and services.
• Strengthen member relationships through regular communication and follow-up.
• Collect feedback from members and report service improvement needs.
• Support implementation of SACCO policies and membership procedures.
• Maintain accurate member records and savings documentation.
• Prepare periodic reports on savings performance and membership growth.
• Work closely with SACCO leadership to achieve financial inclusion targets.
• Handle member complaints and resolve issues in a timely and professional manner.

Qualification

• Degree in Cooperative Accounting, Cooperative Management, Marketing Management, Management, Accounting, Public Administration, Business Administration, Project Management or related fields.

Experience

• BA degree with a minimum of 2 years of relevant work experience, at least 1 year of which must be directly related to the SACCO sector.

• Ability to mobilize and motivate members effectively.
• Good customer service and problem-solving skills.
• Strong organizational and reporting skills.
• Basic computer skills (MS Word, Excel, reporting tools).
