Job Summary
This is a full-time, on-site role based in Addis Ababa for a Senior Design Architect. The Senior Design Architect will take the lead on designing and managing architectural projects, ensuring that designs align with the client’s vision and sustainability goals. Key responsibilities include creating and reviewing detailed architectural designs, leading project teams, collaborating with clients and stakeholders, and overseeing construction processes to ensure alignment with design specifications. The role also involves mentoring junior architects and staying updated on industry trends and innovations.
Qualifications
- Proficiency in architectural design, space planning, and innovative design solutions
- Experienced in project management, team leadership, and client collaboration
- Skilled in using design software such as AutoCAD, Revit, SketchUp, and other tools
- Strong understanding of sustainable design principles and their implementation
- Exceptional presentation and communication skills
- Ability to manage complex projects and meet deadlines
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Architecture or related field; professional licensure is highly preferred
- 4+ years’ experience in architectural practice
- Familiarity with local building codes and architectural standards
- Passion for creating environmentally and socially meaningful spaces
