Sr. System Administrator

Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced and highly skilled Senior System Administrator to join our IT Administration Section. This role is vital for ensuring business continuity, system reliability, and the secure operation of our IT infrastructure. The ideal candidate will manage and optimize the company’s systems, servers, and domain environment while supporting the continuous improvement of IT services across the organization.

Key Responsibilities

• Configure, maintain, and optimize networked computer systems, servers, virtualization platforms, and enterprise applications.
• Administer and manage Active Directory, including user accounts, security groups, and access permissions.
• Monitor system performance, resource usage, and adherence to domain policies.
• Implement and maintain backup solutions, disaster recovery plans, and data protection mechanisms.
• Lead system upgrades, patching cycles, and deployment of new technologies.
• Test and validate new software deployments, GPO configurations, and security changes in a controlled test environment.
• Troubleshoot and resolve advanced system, hardware, and network issues.
• Design and implement system improvements, contributing to long-term IT infrastructure planning. 
• Enforce system-level security best practices and safeguard critical IT assets.
• Provide technical guidance, mentorship, and support to junior IT staff.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in IT, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, BIS, MIS, or a related field.
• Minimum 4 years of relevant experience, including at least 2 years in a senior or advanced system administration role.
• Professional certifications are highly desirable (e.g., Microsoft Certified Windows Server Hybrid Administrator, Microsoft Azure Fundamentals, VMware, CCNA/CCNP). Technical Skills
• Strong expertise with Windows Server, Linux, and virtualization platforms (VMware, Hyper-V, Proxmox). 
• Good knowledge of cloud and security technologies, including Azure, identity management, and pfSense.
• Solid understanding of TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, and enterprise network protocols.
• Advanced experience with Active Directory, Azure AD, and GPO management.
• Strong background in system security, patch management, and disaster recovery planning.
• Ability to test, verify, and validate deployments before production release.
