Job Summary:
Under the general supervision of the Talent Acquisition Manager, the Human Resource Officer provides support to supervisors, managers, and staff by ensuring the effective implementation of HR policies and procedures. The role involves supporting recruitment processes, maintaining employee records, managing HR data systems, and ensuring compliance with organizational policies and the Ethiopian Labour Proclamation. The position also contributes to employee engagement, performance management, and overall HR operations.

Qualification:
- MA/BA in Management, Human Resource Management, or related field
Experience:
- Minimum of 2–4 years of relevant experience in Human Resource Management
Skills & Competencies:
- Strong interpersonal, negotiation, and communication skills
- Good computer skills and proficiency in HR systems
- Knowledge of Ethiopian labour laws, regulations, and HR policies
- Strong organizational and problem-solving skills
- Proactive, dynamic, and team-oriented approach
- Effective written and verbal communication skills
- Creativity and ability to contribute to HR initiatives
Key Responsibilities:
- Ensure proper implementation of HR policies and the Labour Code of Ethiopia
- Support recruitment planning, selection processes, and onboarding of new staff
- Organize orientation programs and introduce employees to organizational culture and policies
- Maintain and update employee database and ensure integration with payroll systems
- Follow up on staff contracts, renewals, and terminations in compliance with policies
- Prepare and monitor annual leave plans and maintain accurate leave records
- Compile and maintain personnel files and HR reports on a regular basis
- Assist in handling disciplinary issues and employee relations matters
- Support performance management processes including mid-year and annual reviews
- Administer employee benefits, entitlements, and liaise with insurance providers
- Monitor employee satisfaction and support staff engagement initiatives
- Organize and maintain HR records and archives for easy accessibility
- Perform other related duties as assigned
