About Saving Lives and Livelihood (SLL) Project
The Saving Lives and Livelihoods (SLL) initiative, is a Partnership between the Mastercard Foundation and the Africa Centres for Disease Control and Prevention (Africa CDC). It is designed to save the lives and livelihoods of millions of people in Africa and hasten the recovery of economies across Africa. The Program has entered its second phase, during which phase the Program will, among other activities, focus on completing the vaccination of healthcare workers and vulnerable groups; integrating COVID-19 vaccinations into routine immunization; preparing countries for the next pandemic, particularly through the training and development of community health workers; and strengthening the capacity of Africa CDC as is incidental to delivery of the same. The activities under Phase 2 are a continuation of the activities under Phase 1 and, like Phase 1, are intended to maintain and safeguard lives and livelihoods.
Duration of contract: 5 months
Duties and responsibilities: The volunteer will have the following duties and responsibilities:
1. Program Support:
- Assist in planning, organizing, and implementing project activities (e.g., workshops, surveys, community outreach).
- Support monitoring and evaluation efforts (data collection, entry, and basic analysis).
- Help prepare reports, presentations, and communication materials for stakeholders.
- Engage with beneficiaries/communities to gather feedback and document success stories.
2. Operations Support:
- Aid in logistics for trainings/events (venue coordination, materials preparation, participant registration).
- Manage inventory and distribution of project supplies/equipment.
- Assist with administrative tasks (filing, scheduling, email correspondence).
3. Cross-Cutting Tasks:
- Collaborate with team members to troubleshoot challenges.
- Adhere to project guidelines, including safeguarding and ethical standards.

Qualifications
Job requirements:
- Recent graduate in Health, management or equivalent education with at least 0 year of work experience
- Strong organizational and multitasking abilities.
- Basic computer skills (Word, Excel, Google Workspace).
- Good communication (written and verbal) in [required languages].
- Cultural sensitivity and teamwork spirit.
Preferred (optional):
- Prior volunteer experience in NGOs/community projects.
- Familiarity with specific tools, e.g., KOBO, Canva…
